[toc]
Surely one of the things to do in Rome is to visit Elegance Cafè jazz club.
In the heart of the Ostiense district, in Francesco Carletti street, Elegance Cafè is the only live music venue capable of attracting both passionate listeners and sophisticated gourmands.
Involving them in a sensory journey through Italian flavors and ingredients combined with distant scents, linked to the lands of jazz.
Daria Venuto, artistic director, and Remo Proietto together with the chef Marco Roselli created the club inspired by the New York formats with the unique and all-Italian plus of good food

Music and cuisine speak directly to the heart of those who listen and taste, according to a gastronomic philosophy that combines the emotion of jazz with that of the territory and that is contaminated in a path
That starts from Brazil to the South of the United States, from the Caribbean to New York, giving life to ever new emotions and sensations!
It is an all-round sensory journey to experience inside the Elegance Cafè Jazz Club. In via Francesco Carletti 5, next to via Ostiense.

You are welcomed by the persuasive atmospheres of live music (among precious woods and fabrics), which invite to stop and let yourself be transported on a journey that involves ears and palate.
Between musical culture, which characterizes the artistic proposal of the club, and the culinary one, the typical contaminations of jazz are followed, leading customers to the discovery of flavors linked to the lands in which this genre was born.

THE JAZZ RUSSELL

The Jazz Russell, the rhythm becomes a soloist.
The repertoire of classical jazz with an original approach
Having passed from the rhythm sections of renowned bands of the swing and traditional scene to a rhythm-only formation, Jazz Russell seeks – like a Spartacus who rebels … to the soloists!
An original musical voice with the contribution of all the instruments and without a frontman in particular: no musician at the center and all central at the same time.
Jazz Russell’s arrangements are deliberately “expressed” and in motion: live songs, melodies and structures are bent to new forms suggested – each other – on the spot, seeking a space of freedom in tradition.
With a chosen repertoire of original songs, famous standards, less frequented songs and unusual tempos
the Jazz Russell pass with ease from Horace Silver to the Italian song of the 30s, from traditional songs of New Orleans to themes with a South American flavor
A repertoire deliberately heterogeneous, seamless, devoid of philological ambitions or desire for consistency.

THIRD CLASS TAP BAND

The challenge of proposing a variety-style entertainment show with the music and songs of the last century.
This is exactly what we aim to do, at the very least.
Tell a beautiful love story, why not, with many funny anecdotes, monologues from the national theatrical repertoire and the music of
Carosone, of the Lescano Trio, Fred Buscaglione, Lelio Luttazzi, Vittorio de Sica.
And many other artists who, with a sequence of ad hoc songs adapted for this quartet of guitar, double bass, piano and saxophone, will help us understand if this attempt by a theatrical band was a mistake or not!
All enriched with some (mesmerizing, let me tell you) tip tap numbers that in perfect third class style of the Titanic will make us rediscover some forgotten pieces of our national and international repertoire !!
Come on, let’s see if you can keep time!

DA NU JAZZ4ET
Da Nu Jazz 4et is one of the few ensembles in Italy that represent this musical genre.
Once it was called “Fusion” (a mixture of jazz, funk, soul and rhythm & blues) but, as often happens, the renewal of the times also requires that of terminology.

In fact, great masters of the genre are also excellent artists in other musical fields.
The repertoire of this project ranges from Soul / Funk reinterpretations of classics by
Herbie Hancock, Miles Davis, Grover Washington Jr., David Sanborn, Marcus Miller to versions of Soul music classics (Michael Jackson, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Randy Crawford and many others).
They released their first single entitled “Love Soldier” for the ALFAMUSIC label
Inserted in the compilation The Italian Smooth Jazz All-Starz recently released on over 96 digital platforms and already played in many international radios.
