Michel Petrucciani Tribute in Rome: Blue Monday Trio on November 1, 2026
On Sunday, November 1, 2026, Elegance Cafè Jazz Club in Rome dedicates an evening to the music of Michel Petrucciani with the Blue Monday Trio. A concert shaped by lyricism, rhythmic energy and sophisticated harmonies, experienced over dinner or with a drink just a few steps from the stage.
The Concert: A Personal Journey Through Michel Petrucciani’s Music
The Blue Monday Trio comes to the stage at Elegance Cafè with a project devoted to the music of Michel Petrucciani, one of the most distinctive voices in European jazz piano.
Born into a musical family, Petrucciani developed a close relationship with the piano from an early age, moving from classical training towards jazz and gradually creating an unmistakable musical language.
His compositions combine refined harmonies, lyrical melodies, rhythmic vitality and an extraordinary sense of communication.
The Michel Petrucciani tribute in Rome on November 1, 2026 draws on these qualities without turning the evening into a simple recreation of the original recordings. Instead, piano, double bass and drums explore the repertoire through interaction, space and a strong ensemble identity.
Looking At Michel
The Blue Monday Trio’s relationship with Petrucciani’s music also led to Looking At Michel, the jazz album released in 2023 on the LaPOP label.
The project explores his repertoire while preserving its brightness, melodic richness and rhythmic drive, leaving room for the trio’s own musical personality.
At Elegance Cafè, the result is an intimate concert designed both for dedicated jazz listeners and for anyone looking for a distinctive Sunday evening in Rome.
