Keith Jarrett Tribute in Rome on October 4, 2026 with Blue Monday Trio
On Sunday, October 4, 2026, Blue Monday Trio brings a tribute to Keith Jarrett to Elegance Cafè, built around one of jazz’s most essential formats: piano, double bass and drums. An evening dedicated to improvisation, lyricism and musical dialogue, to experience over dinner or cocktails in a setting designed for attentive listening.
The Music of Keith Jarrett: Jazz as a Conversation
Keith Jarrett’s music inhabits a space where improvisation, melody and expressive freedom are in constant dialogue.
His career developed through experiences alongside musicians including Art Blakey, Charles Lloyd and Miles Davis before evolving into a path as a bandleader and solo artist that crossed both jazz and classical music.
His musical language also incorporates gospel, blues and influences from ethnic music, contributing to the remarkable expressive range of his piano playing.
The Blue Monday Trio project begins with this richness.
The Keith Jarrett tribute in Rome on October 4, 2026 is built around the piano trio, one of the most iconic formats in jazz. Piano, double bass and drums do not operate simply as soloist and accompaniment, but as three voices in continuous conversation.
Improvisation, Lyricism and Rhythm
The live performance moves between lyrical passages and more energetic moments, leaving room for interplay and for the musicians to respond to one another in real time.
This is precisely what makes the project particularly suited to the intimate environment of Elegance Cafè: music that invites the audience to listen not only to the theme itself, but also to what happens between phrases, through shifting dynamics and spontaneous responses among the instruments.
For anyone looking to hear live jazz in Rome with a particular focus on instrumental interaction, the evening offers an experience centred firmly on music and improvisation.
The Musicians on Stage
Emanuele Rizzo – piano
Trained in classical and jazz piano at the Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome, Emanuele Rizzo graduated with top marks.
In 2010 he received the Premio Via Vittoria as the year’s outstanding graduate and has had the opportunity to perform in the presence of Maestro Ennio Morricone.
He studied jazz with musicians including Danilo Rea, Paolo Damiani and Cinzia Gizzi.
His career has taken him to Italy and abroad, including the Netherlands, Germany, the United Arab Emirates and China, and he has collaborated with musicians including Owen Heart Jr, Roberto Gatto, Michele Villari, Andrea Bonioli, Enrico Mianulli and Giambattista Gioia.
Giuseppe Civiletti – double bass
Giuseppe Civiletti studied classical double bass with Massimo Giorgi, Luca Cola and Daniele Roccato, while developing his jazz background with musicians including Furio Di Castri, Attilio Zanchi, Gianluca Renzi and Stefano Cantarano.
He has worked with a wide variety of orchestral ensembles and developed experience across symphonic music, jazz, pop and manouche.
His collaborations and appearances include ensembles such as the BIM Orchestra, Orchestra del Sesto Armonico, Orchestra Sinfonica Vesuvio and the Orchestra of the Sanremo Festival in 2025.
Since 2010 he has also founded or contributed to projects including Gipsy Italien, Radical Gipsy, Orchestra Notturna Clandestina, Emmet Ray Manouche Orchestra, Conosci Mia Cugina and Legacy Gipsy Trio.
Giampaolo Scatozza – drums
Giampaolo Scatozza brings an especially wide-ranging musical background to the trio.
In pop music he has collaborated with artists and groups including Paul Young, Tom Jones, Curiosity Killed the Cat and Groove Armada. In jazz, he has shared the stage with musicians including Trevor Watts, Evan Parker, Gilad Atzmon, Michael Olatuja, Kellylee Evans and Four80East.
His recording project Travels, for which he composed all the material, reflects a musical approach combining jazz tradition with personal and experimental exploration.
During periods spent in Italy, London and Canada, he also absorbed influences from electronic, pop and ethnic music, working as a session musician and composing electronic music for television productions, including the BBC series Holby City.

The Piano Trio as a Listening Experience
In this kind of line-up, every instrument plays a decisive role.
The piano may lead the melodic material before giving space to the double bass; the drums can shift from rhythmic support to an active voice in the conversation. This flexibility is what makes the piano trio one of the most fascinating formats through which to approach music associated with Keith Jarrett.
The evening of October 4 is therefore conceived above all as a concert to listen to closely: elegant without being formal, sophisticated yet able to communicate through the immediate energy of interaction between the three musicians.
Dinner and Concert at Elegance Cafè
Before the live performance, guests can enjoy dinner inside the club.
The dinner and concert option includes two dishes chosen à la carte from starters, first courses and main courses. The final price varies according to the selections made.
Guests who prefer to arrive for a cocktail can instead choose the drink and concert option for €25.
Chef Marco Roselli’s culinary concept connects Italian traditions with international influences, with particular attention to Creole and Cajun cuisine. Spices, cooking techniques and seasonal ingredients contribute to a contemporary dining experience aligned with the character of the venue.
The cocktail bar looks to the world of 1920s speakeasies, offering original creations made with homemade syrups, fresh juices, spices and a collection of more than 300 spirits.
The Atmosphere at Elegance Cafè
For a concert built around interplay, the quality of the listening environment becomes an essential part of the experience.
Elegance Cafè has been designed with particular attention to acoustics, creating a sound environment intended to approach the clarity and precision of a recording studio.
The room combines the comfort of a private lounge with leather seating, wood and refined fabrics, while maintaining clear views of the stage from the different areas and balcony.
It is therefore more than simply a jazz club in Rome: it is a place where dinner, drinks and live music can be experienced as parts of one complete evening.
