Tribute to NAT KING COLE
“With Respect to Nat” – Tribute to a timeless jazz icon: Nat King Cole.

Perfectly recreating the sound of the historic trio of piano, guitar, and double bass, guitarist Filippo Delogu delicately performs vocals, presenting the most beautiful songs from Nat King Cole and the American songbook, continuing the tradition of tributes offered by great jazz musicians such as Oscar Peterson and Diana Krall.
NAT KING COLE – pianist and singer of evergreen hits that shaped music history.
His smooth singing contrasted with the harder style of other artists, making him immediately recognizable, aided by his naturally warm timbre.
Notable songs include Smile, composed by Charlie Chaplin.
In 1956 he released a fully jazz album, After Midnight.
In 1957’s album “Love is the Thing,” his song When I Fall In Love also includes Stardust and At Last.

Filippo Delogu

Guitarist and tenor banjoist, devoted to traditional jazz from a young age, accompanying several swing orchestras as a rhythm guitarist. Specialized in classical and traditional repertoire, especially the swing of the ’30s and ’40s, he has worked with leading Italian traditional jazz musicians, later forming the band The Jazz Russell and exploring modern and contemporary jazz repertoire.
He studied classical and traditional jazz techniques and repertoire under Masters Eddy Palermo and Michele Ariodante, attended seminars with Agostino Di Giorgio and Barry Harris, completed Berklee College of Music improvisation course with Gary Burton, and studied with guitarist Marco Acquarelli. He has participated in major jazz festivals in Italy and abroad, including
Summer Jamboree, Summertime Casa del Jazz, Lago Maggiore Jazz Festival, Rome Jazz Festival, Hepcats London, Festival del Jazz di Lanciano, Swing on the Beach Festival Pescara, etc., as well as TV programs dedicated to 20th-century American music, including
RAI 1: “Jazz in Italy” by Adriano Mazzoletti, Auditorium of Rome / RAI 2: “Quelli dello Swing” by Renzo Arbore at MACRO, etc.
Graduated in Economics, he obtained a PhD in “Economics, Management and Communication for Creativity” at IULM University in Milan, exploring the link between jazz and business, studying creativity as a tool for organizational change and innovation. He teaches harmony, technique, and reading for guitarists, using jazz repertoire while emphasizing style evolution and guitar roles.
He guides students in jazz studies and professional growth, not limited to music practice, and has consulted for organizations including
UNESCO Italy, V&V, Deloitte, etc., on innovation, corporate social responsibility, and team dynamics. He is preparing a lab exploring jazz ensemble concepts applied to creativity, innovation, and organizational change.
