On Saturday, October 17, Elegance Jazz Society<\/a> returns to the stage of the club that gave the ensemble its name with \u201cThe Swing Era\u201d. Seven musicians and a repertoire inspired by the golden age of American jazz create a journey through Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Benny Goodman, Cole Porter and the energy of the great swing orchestras.<\/p>

The Swing Era: jazz as a shared experience<\/strong><\/h2>

Elegance Jazz Society was created as the resident ensemble of Elegance Caf\u00e8 Jazz Club, bringing together musicians connected to the Roman jazz scene in a stable project dedicated to the Swing Era.<\/p>

The repertoire looks back to the 1930s and 1940s, when jazz, dancing, elegance and nightlife shared the same musical language. The atmosphere of Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Benny Goodman and Cole Porter becomes the starting point for energetic and carefully crafted arrangements.<\/p>

\u201cThe Swing Era\u201d is not simply about remembering a period in jazz history. It is about bringing its vitality back to life.<\/p>

Vocals, piano, double bass, drums, guitar, saxophone and trumpet allow the band to explore a broader dynamic range than a traditional small jazz group.<\/p>

The result is a bright, rhythmic and communicative concert that alternates ensemble passages, solo moments and the enduring charm of great swing melodies.<\/p>

His playing combines swing tradition, improvisation and extensive jazz experience.<\/p>

The cocktail bar draws inspiration from the world of 1920s speakeasies, creating a natural bridge to the repertoire of the evening. Homemade syrups, fresh juices, spices and a selection of more than 300 spirits complete the experience.<\/p>
